How We Research

Every article published on WealthIQ begins with structured research. Our process includes:

  • Keyword and topic research — We identify what readers are actively searching for and tailor content to answer real financial questions.
  • Primary source review — We consult authoritative sources including the IRS, SEC, FDIC, Federal Reserve, and official government publications before drafting any article.
  • Data verification — All figures, rates, limits, and statistics are cross-checked against the most current official data available at the time of publication.
  • Structured drafting — Content is organized to deliver clear, actionable information without unnecessary complexity.

AI Disclosure

WealthIQ uses AI-assisted tools for research, drafting, and data analysis. All content is reviewed for accuracy before publication.

We believe transparency about our process builds trust. AI tools help us research faster and cover more ground — but every article is reviewed by our editorial team before it goes live. We do not publish AI-generated content that hasn’t been checked for accuracy, currency, and alignment with primary sources.

For full details on how AI is used in our process, see our AI Disclosure & Editorial Process page.

Our Editorial Standards

WealthIQ is committed to publishing accurate, unbiased financial information. Our editorial standards include:

  • Accuracy first — We only publish claims we can verify against primary sources. If we can’t confirm a fact, we don’t state it as fact.
  • Primary source citations — We cite IRS.gov, SEC.gov, FDIC.gov, FederalReserve.gov, and other authoritative sources directly wherever relevant.
  • Living content — Financial rules change. Contribution limits, interest rates, and tax brackets are updated regularly. We review and revise articles when underlying data changes materially.
  • No conflicts of interest — Our editorial content is developed independently of our affiliate relationships. Affiliate partnerships do not influence what we recommend or how we evaluate financial products.
  • Clear labeling — Sponsored or promotional content, if any, is clearly labeled as such and kept separate from editorial content.

Corrections Policy

We take accuracy seriously. If you find an error — a wrong figure, outdated rate, broken link, or factual inaccuracy — please let us know.

Contact: editorial@wealthiq.co

We will review your correction request and, if valid, update the article within 48 hours. We appreciate readers who help us maintain accuracy.

Content Update Schedule

We review and update articles when IRS limits, interest rates, or market data changes materially. This includes:

  • Annual IRS contribution limit and tax bracket updates (typically released in October/November each year)
  • Federal Reserve rate changes that affect savings rates, mortgage rates, or borrowing costs
  • Regulatory changes from the SEC, FDIC, or other financial oversight bodies
  • Product or provider changes that affect our recommendations

High-priority articles (contribution limits, tax rates, rate comparisons) are reviewed within 30 days of material changes. All articles display a “Last Reviewed” date when applicable.
